Note: If you choose one of our prepaid shipping labels, all you need to do is print the shipping label – that we send via email – and attach it to the outside of the package.
It really depends on what shipping options you choose. The repair process itself is very quick! Once we receive the device, most repairs are completed within 1 business day. If you choose our Free Return Shipping option during checkout, you'll receive your device in 2-3 business days after the repair is completed. Or you can select our Express Shipping option to have your device shipped back to you in 1 business day.
Most ship-in repairs take 1 week when you include shipping times & repair turnaround. If you want the repair expedited, we recommend that you choose Express (overnight) Shipping both ways. This will result in a 3 business day repair turnaround.

Error 53 is caused when there is a failed authentication between the Apple device logic board and the Touch ID circuit coded to the device. This can happen depending on the physical damage that occurred prior to repair or if you select a repair company that is not certified or experienced in performing these repairs.
How does MTech prevent this from happening on my device?
MTech ensures that original parts related to authentication are retained during the repair process. Additionally, MTech certified technicians are specifically trained on performing these repairs and conduct multiple tests as part of the repair process.
The short answer is yes! Even though our repairs do not affect the data on your device – unless otherwise noted – we recommend that you backup your device before sending it in for repair. It's always a good idea to have your data backed up. The backup process is different for each device, but usually it's very simple and only takes a couple of hours to fully backup your device.
